Elite '2020 Elite '2020 Half Price Auto has been located on N. Main Street going on ten years and that's the length of time I've driven by without giving it a second thought. That has changed after this week. I'm currently driving a Toyota Sienna with 180,000 miles on it and not interested in putting a whole lot of cash into keeping it going. My thought was "Half Price Auto", probably too good to be true but perhaps a little less than everywhere else. My check engine light came on with the Vcs & Trac off light. I also had a rattle in the catalytic converter. I stopped in on Thursday morning without an appointment just to feel the place out. I found they have a much nicer than expected waiting area (large TV with cable & fireplace). They offered to get me in that afternoon. There are two main guys, likely owner/manager & close friend situation. They are a little rough around the edges, but that's what you should expect of a true mechanic and local garage. Don't expect to be coddled, but do expect to be told straight up what they think is going on with your car. They needed to keep my car overnight in order to get the correct sensor shipped in for the repair. They repaired the catalytic converter issue without trying to sell me on services that weren't necessary. They did my repairs at what I thought was a reasonable price for the work performed. "Half Price", not so much but definitely fairly priced. Pleased to have taken a chance & I'll be back, hopefully just not soon.
